This course is a deep dive into over a dozen different medications that can be utilized in any practice setting. We will cover how to utilize medications in your practice for a variety of tough to treat indications where standard treatments may have failed. We will also go over the legalities of prescribing off-label treatments. While the FDA doesn’t formally approve a medication for a specific condition, it doesn’t mean it’s illegal to prescribe it. It’s important to think outside of the box as an NP, and getting creative with off-label prescribing is a good place to start. Some well-known examples are testosterone, semaglutide, and gabapentin.

Patients with persistent symptoms are actively looking for providers who can provide alternative therapies, therefore it is critically important that you know how to utilize a variety of medications to provide robust and evidence-based care.

Will this offer CME? 

This course offers 5 CE hours. The Elite Nurse Practitioner is credentialed as a CEU provider through the ANCC. CEU awarded through The Elite Nurse Practitioner applies to ANCC, AANP, and all boards of nursing. 

Will this course provide a certificate of completion? 

A certificate is issued at the end of the course that will display the CEU hours and verify your completion of this course. You can also submit this certificate to your malpractice carrier for reimbursement.
